​£86,500 play area could be built in Netherfield to encourage children to exercise



A new £86,500 children's play area and trim trail could be built in Netherfield in the hope of encouraging youngsters to get outside and exercise.
Gedling Borough Council has proposed to build the new facilities at the Ley Street Playing Fields, near Netherfield Primary School.
The proposal will either be approved or declined at the borough council's cabinet meeting on Thursday, December 8.
A report by the council's director of health and community wellbeing said Netherfield Primary School, in nearby Chandos Street, was "keen to see the site developed".
