Zidane confirms Real Madrid ‘could have’ signed Paul Pogba

Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Real Madrid could have signed Paul Pogba in the summer.
The France international completed his world-record £89 million move to Manchester United in August, although Jose Mourinho has admitted that he was in competition with another manager for the midfielder’s signature.
And Zidane now admits that Madrid had the chance to beat United to the biggest deal of the summer.
‘It could have happened,’ the Madrid boss told RMC.
‘There were conversations but it didn’t go ahead.’
