Ysgol Beaumaris campaigners take battle to save school to council's door



Campaigners opposed to the possible closure of an Anglesey primary school, took their fight to the county council headquarters this afternoon.
Flanked by around 25 supporters, a petition of more than 500 people and a further 100 letters was presented to local councillors, urging the authority not to shut Ysgol Beaumaris .
A school has been based in the town since 1605 and closure would herald the end of education there after more than 400 years.
