You might want to think twice before tucking into your chicken dinner - as poultry sold in leading supermarkets could be secretly out-of-date.
Workers at one of Britain’s largest poultry producers have been caught illegally changing the slaughter date of chickens, which means their use-by date could also be wrong.
Poultry packaging at major supermarkets, including Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Lidl, could suggest the bird is fresher than it really is, according to an investigation by The Guardian and ITV News.
