Young's Seafood backs new catching technology for industry



ARTIFICIALLY lit net escapes could help with the selectivity of fishing trawls, bringing major benefits to the industry, thanks to the support of Grimsby's Young's Seafood.
Trials of the innovative technology suggest that it radically reduces the number of by-catch caught, helping fishermen only land the fish they want. It means fewer fish are wasted and it could have the potential to make fleets more efficient, saving time and money by reducing the number of trips to sea.
