You know that ‘alien megastructure’ star? It just got even more mysterious



Last year, alien-hunters trained massive radio telescopes on a distant galaxy after planet-hunters spotted what might be an alien ‘megastructure’ orbiting a star.
The star, KIC 8462852, dimmed by 22%, sometimes for months at a time – and now it’s got even more mysterious, thanks to new telescope measurements.
Alien fans believe that the stars are orbited by Death Star-style mega-spaceships which orbit stars to suck up their energy.
