Wrexham star baker warns: Back our Welsh food producers or we'll lose them
 

A chef-turned-businessman will be back behind a frying pan to champion local food producers at next week’s Hamper Llangollen food festival.
Robert Didier, who runs Wrexham-based bakery business Orchard Pigs, will launch the festival’s cooking demonstrations with an impassioned plea for shoppers to support the region’s home-grown ingredients.
As a former restaurateur in London – his business was compulsory purchased to make way for a new railway line – Robert’s own gastronomic finesse was enjoyed by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones.
