WPP chief Sir Martin Sorrell faces an investigation into misconduct claims at the advertising firm he has run for over three decades



Advertising giant WPP has hired an independent team of lawyers to investigate claims of misconduct against its chief executive, Sir Martin Sorrell.
Sir Martin will step down from management during the investigation into claims of his personal misconduct - believed to relate to a potential misuse of company funds according to reports in the Wall Street Journal.
A statement from the company said: ‘The investigation is ongoing. The allegations do not involve amounts which are material to WPP.’
