'Worst violence seen on a football pitch': Player punched opponent causing three facial fractures



An amateur footballer punched a rival player, causing three facial fractures, in what the referee described as the "worst violence" he had seen on the pitch.
Tendai Bwanali (22) was playing for Groby Town against Wigston Plough Rovers when the incident happened, on Sunday, January 10.
Leicester Crown Court was told there had been some contact on the pitch between the two before the defendant felled his victim with one punch.
