Work to repair flood-hit bridges pressing ahead
 

More than 80 bridges which were damaged during Storm Desmond have will have been repaired by the end of the month.
The latest of programme of work by Cumbria County Council contractors only started at the end of August.
But the authority says in just a matter of weeks they will have worked on and repaired a total of 81 bridges throughout the county.
They're also due to start their winter resilience programme which will involve implementing "defensive measures" at a further 18 bridges.
