Work on HS2 'only six months away'
Work will start on HS2 within about six months, the Government transport minister responsible for rail has claimed.
Andrew Jones MP said the tide of support for HS2 will turn when people see tracks being laid and jobs created in the West Midlands.
He said construction work would begin next spring and confirmed the Government was ‘100 per cent’ behind the £50 billion project.
