Work begins on travellers' 'emergency site' in Hartshill, North Warwickshire

AN EMERGENCY stopping site for travellers who enter North Warwickshire could be open by the end of the year.
The site was at one time expected to be in Grendon at the former tip, but the proposal was dropped after furious protests from residents.
The site now selected is in Oldbury Road, Hartshill and Warwickshire County Council says that it should be in operation by the end of the year and will provide an emergency stopping place for up to 12 caravans.
