Woman taken to hospital after 40ft Sainsbury’s sign falls on her head
 

A woman has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a 40ft Sainsbury’s sign fell on top of her.
The illuminated orange shop sign crashed 15ft to the ground and hit the woman on the way down as she walked down the street in Uplands, Swansea.
She is not believed have have suffered serious injuries, but witnesses spoke of fears she could have been killed.
Noah Redfern said: ‘It could have been fatal.
‘I was walking away from the shop when I heard a bang. The sign had come crashing down from the wall.
‘Behind the sign it was all rotten and that seems to be why it fell.
