Woman stopped Valentine’s Day rape by repeatedly biting attacker
 

A man has been jailed for 10 years after attempting to rape a woman in a park on Valentine’s Day.
Terry McBride followed his victim into Valentines Park in Ilford at around 9am on February 14, before pushing her to the ground.
The 25-year-old then used his hand to cover the mouth of the woman, in her early 40s, and climbed on top of her.
However, the victim then fought back, punched six-foot McBride in the face and bit him, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.
She repeatedly bit down on his hand and screamed until the man said ‘I am not going to do anything. I will let you go.’
