Woman cleared of taking £40 from dementia sufferer to play online bingo
 

A woman has been cleared of taking money from a vulnerable pensioner’s account to play online bingo.
Anne Marie Green was accused of using the bank card of a 79-year-old dementia sufferer to make four different £10 payments to 888.com earlier this year.
The 40-year-old, who was paid to clean for the elderly woman and take her meals, admitted using the card - but said she had been given permission to do so as a “treat”.
But after the alleged victim took the stand today and told a judge she “can’t remember” whether she had given consent, Green was cleared.
