'Woman, 80, confronts students to be told 'you're lucky to have us here''



As always thanks to the Echo for highlighting local issues and problems, but I must strongly disagree with your editorial comment (September 29) regarding the appalling (mainly student) noise, especially in Lincoln's West End, now creeping into many other parts of the city, writes David Mitchell in a letter to The Echo.
You state that Lincoln is better placed to deal with this problem, where is your evidence?
Lincoln City Council (apart from Carholme's excellent four councillors) only woke up to the shocking threat to residents human rights about three years ago.
