Woman, 65, 'seriously injured' after being hit by reversing car in Redmire Close, Bransholme



A woman struck by a car in a "hit-and-run" in Bransholme is in a serious condition in hospital, police have confirmed today.
The 65-year-old woman was walking in Redmire Close, North Bransholme, around 4.40pm on Sunday afternoon when she was hit by a reversing car. It is believed she was with her young grandchildren at the time of the crash.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, left the scene but was arrested by officers a short time later on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
