Wirral nurse to run New York Marathon in memory of her dad
 

A Wirral nurse who fought to save her dad’s life is set to run an emotional New York Marathon next month in his memory.
Jeni Bowden, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner based at Arrowe Park hospital, never imagined she would have to use her nursing skills at home until her dad, Phil, 63, suffered a heart attack.
The 32-year-old from Upton battled to save him with CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) but sadly he died later.
She said: “It was a shock as he had always been fit and well.”
