Wirral landowners told: Clean up your grot spots or pay the bill
 

Wirral's problem grot spots are being cleaned up – and landowners could be slapped with the bill.
Eighteen of the borough’s biggest fly tipping sites on either privately-owned or unregistered land have been nominated by local councillors.
Contractors will be hired to do the work, which will be paid for partly proceeds from fines handed out for littering.
Wirral Council said careless or unresponsive owners would then be billed where possible.
