Wirral council bosses delay decision on £190m Hoylake golf resort
 

Wirral council chiefs have put off agreeing to spend £600,000 on consultants and legal fees for its proposed £190m golf resort .
The council was due to agree to press ahead with the scheme in Hoylake when the borough’s ruling cabinet met today.
But the decision on spending £595,969 “to allow essential expertise to be retained to advise the council on a range of commercial, technical and legal aspects” of the proposed resort was delayed “for further information”.
The decision comes just a week after the local authority revealed Celtic Manor is in talks to run the proposed scheme.
