Will this £4.5m plan really help 1600 struggling Mersey jobseekers find work?



A new £4.5m “household-focused” plan will aim to get 1600 Merseyside jobseekers back into work.
The Government has announced it will fund £3.5m to pilot a brand new approach which it believes will benefit 800 families across the region - where more than one adult is currently unemployed.
The cash has been secured following a bid by the Liverpool City Region - with local leaders putting in an extra £1m themselves.
