Wigton College leaders excited about the future



Changes to education in Wigston are beginning to take shape say education leaders.
"And the future is most certainly bright," says Mike Wilson, head of Wigston College.
Situated in the former Guthlaxton College buildings in Station Road, from next September, it will cater exclusively for sixth form students.
Next door is Wigston Academy - made up of the former Bushloe High School and Abington Academy, taking pupils from 11 to 16 years. All three are now part of the Wigston Academies Trust and "work together collaboratively" rather than in competition with one... read more
