Widnes care home told to improve safety after person falls and later dies
 

A Widnes care home was told to improve safety by a health and social care watchdog after a ‘serious incident’ where a person fell and later died in hospital.
An unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) took place at Halton View Care Home on Sadler Street.
The home was last inspected in January 2016 and was rated ‘good’ overall and in all its aspects. But a fresh inspection happened at the start of August after ‘information of concern’ was passed to the CQC by Halton Borough Council.
