Why we celebrate Halloween with scary costumes, pumpkins and trick or treating

It’s almost time to carve out the pumpkins and whip out the Dracula costume.
That’s because next month we celebrate Halloween – a day made for stuffing your face with sweets and pulling a few cheeky pranks here and there just for the LOLs.
It’s a fun tradition, but why exactly do we celebrate it?
When is Halloween? Halloween is marked on October 31 every year.
Why do we celebrate Halloween? Halloween dates back to the pagan times and is thought to originate with the Celtic pagan festival of Samhain. Samhain was a celebration of the end of the harvest season, meaning ‘summer’s end’.
