Michael Keane would not have been a candidate to return to Old Trafford and bite Manchester United on the backside after letting him go.
But at the end of the month the 23-year-old will be back against the Reds possibly with a full England cap and a price tag that has surged ten times since United pocketed £2.5m from Burnley in January 2015.
