Manchester United are in no rush to tie a large group of players down to new deals, despite their contracts expiring in 2018.
Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini are all set to be out of contract by the end of the 2017/18 season, which would normally cause panic among United’s hierarchy out of fear they would consider running their deals down and leaving for free.
