Why Labour MPs are returning to Jeremy Corbyn's front bench after summer of division
 

North East Labour MPs have taken key roles in Jeremy Corbyn’s front bench team following a summer of splits within the party.
A number of those who quit in June, when the Parliamentary Labour Party attempted to convince Mr Corbyn to stand down, have returned.
It follow’s Mr Corbyn’s clear victory in this year’s leadership contest, the second time in less than two years that he has won an election to choose the Labour leader.
A number of MPs appear to have heeded Mr Corbyn’s appeal, in a speech to his party conference in September, to “come together again”.
