Why is a sofa at a Beverley Road bus stop in Hull?

Standing waiting for a bus can be a tiring and boring part of anybody's day.
But for those who use a bus stop on one of Hull's busiest roads, it is about to get a whole lot comfier.
A sofa has been plonked in the middle of the bus stop outside Asda in Beverley Road, meaning bus passengers can swap the usual, bland metal bench for a plush, neon green settee.
But, despite some people informing Hull City Council otherwise, the piece of furniture's appearance on Thursday is not the work of fly-tippers.
