Why eating this banana may be a bad idea...



You can't beat a breakfast banana - but mine came with its own helping of red fungus.
As I unpeeled the skin of my favourite fruit, I was slightly concerned about red veins that seemed to be running throughout.
It was like nothing I'd ever seen before and very cautiously I decided to back away from the banana.
After a quick Google search (other search engines available) I found an article about an eight-year-old girl who ended up in hospital in July 2015 after eating a banana that looked extremely similar to mine.
