Unless Birmingham City actually go on to reach the latter stages of the FA Cup - and you can count on the digits of one hand how often that’s happened in the last forty years, this Third Round tie will not linger long in the memory.
Certainly the 7,623 hardy souls who witnessed Sam Gallagher book Blues’ passage into the fourth round will have experienced far more tasty fare over the festive break and the 13,000 who stayed away might consider it a Saturday just as well spent.
