Why are we still apologising for our mental health issues?
 

This week, rapper Kid Cudi AKA Scott Mescudi wrote an open letter to his fans, advising them that he was checking himself into rehab for ‘depression and suicidal urges’.
He admitted he’d been ‘living a lie’ and has been suffering with anxiety and depression for ‘as long as I can remember’.
The line where he writes: ‘I don’t know what peace feels like’ is truly heartbreaking, but the most upsetting thing of all is how many times he uses the words ‘ashamed’ and ‘sorry’.
