Who is Ukip’s Mike Hookem, the former soldier accused of punching Steven Woolfe in EU parliament?
 

The Ukip MEP who allegedly punched fellow party member Steven Woolfe in the EU parliament today has been named as Mike Hookem.
Woolfe, the 49-year-old MEP for the north west and favourite to lead Ukip, initially appeared okay but later collapsed and was left in a serious condition – although he is now conscious and recovering.
According to Sky News, he was hit in the face before staggering back and hitting his head on a metal bar.
