Whitley Bay ice hockey game to raise cash for brave toddler Frankie Sherwood
 

Ice hockey players and fans have clubbed together to help a brave toddler who is battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Frankie Sherwood, three, has been fighting to survive ever since he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in May last year.
His family, of Dudley, North Tyneside , are desperately trying to raise around £550,000 to pay for his treatment in America.
Now a special ice hockey match is being dedicated to the youngster, and people are being urged to Fill The Rink For Frankie when Whitley Warriors take on Billingham Stars at the Whitley Bay Ice Rink on Sunday, October 2.
