When the big red phone rings, Peter Williams knows it’s likely to be a matter of life or death.
As one of North Wales’ flying doctors, the dad-of-one is routinely dispatched to some of the most serious accidents and urgent medical emergencies - in some of the region’s most remote spots.
But it’s all in a day’s work, literally, for the modest hero, who spends the rest of the week running Ysbyty Gwynedd’s A&E department.
