The dogs start barking, the windows shake and a quiet night in front of the telly is made impossible.
Yes, it’s that time of year again - fireworks are back.
Traditionally only set off close to Bonfire Night in November, the use of fireworks has started to spread - meaning that thumps and whistles are a regular soundtrack to most autumn evenings.
And police were called to groups of youths allegedly throwing fireworks in Easterside, Middlesbrough, on Sunday night .
