What were those giant red cranes floating down the Mersey?
 

They've sailed 13,000 miles from China and through the Suez Canal – and now these giant cranes have arrived in their Liverpool home.
The cranes are part of Peel Ports’ £400m investment in Liverpool2, the new container terminal in Seaforth that will soon start welcoming some of the world’s biggest ships.

The cranes took 49 days to get to Liverpool. They set off from Nantong, near Shanghai,in August on board the Zhenhua 8, passing India and Arabia and going through the Suez Canal on their journey to the Mersey.
