What is tombstoning? The extreme sport where people jump off cliffs into the sea

Police forces around Britain have been warning young people not to risk their lives by ‘tombstoning’ off cliffs.
Officers in Devon and Cornwall say they have had increased reports of young people jumping off high cliffs or harbour walls into water below.
On Tuesday, a man suffered a spinal injury after jumping off rocks in Torquay.
In the North East, teens have been seriously injured and killed after tombstoning into the sea.
In 2009, 17-year-old Jamie Sutton was killed after he leaped off 30ft cliffs near Souter Lighthouse at Whitburn, South Tyneside.
