What is the mobile phone driving law? Millions of drivers flout rules despite hefty fines
 

Earlier this year mobile phone driving laws changed. 
Fines and penalty endorsements increased to £200 and six points in a bid to clampdown on offences. 
Recently released data from the Department for Transport (DfT) shows that (since 2012) there has been a 79 per cent rise in mobile phone related collisions on UK roads, with fatalities increasing by 88 per cent.
Despite the tougher new fines and stricter laws, new research from Ford and Brake reveals that over half of British drivers use their phone while driving. 
A further 37 per cent of motorists admit to keeping their phone in view. ... read more
