What is the Hunter's Moon and when can I see it?



Look up at the night sky over Hull this weekend and you could be in for a rare treat. The moon will appear bigger, brighter and more colourful than normal in the sky.
That is because from around sunset on Saturday (October 14), you will be able to see what is known to lunar experts as the Hunter's Moon.
The Hunter's Moon, the second full moon after the autumn equinox, appears brighter and more orange in the sky due its closeness to the sunset.
