What are the reasons behind the push for day-night Test cricket?



The popularity of day-night Tests continues to rise after it was revealed England will stage such a match for the first time next August, against West Indies at Edgbaston.
The innovative idea was pioneered by Australia, who hosted the inaugural floodlit Test in Adelaide using a pink ball against New Zealand last November, and they will play two more day-night Tests against South Africa and Pakistan before the end of the year.
