Welsh contribution to Liverpool streets to be immortalised in monumental wall
 

A monument toasting the people who helped forge one of Liverpool’s most famous districts will be dominated by the names of Welsh people.
Toxteth’s Wall of Honour is a project celebrating the Liverpool 8’s famous sons and daughters... and almost a quarter have links with Wales.
The wall will feature more than 1,400 people, including Ringo Starr and Robbie Fowler.
There is a strong Welsh presence, including presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s Welsh antecedents and the man who founded the Welsh speaking colony in Patagonia, Michael Daniel Jones from Bala, Gwynedd.
