Couples could be allowed to marry in Liverpool’s libraries according to a report on how the city’s library service can be saved.
Massive budget cuts in recent years have put pressure on Liverpool libraries.
In March, city mayor Joe Anderson reversed a planned £1.6m cut in the libraries budget but said the service would have to find ways to reduce its dependence on public subsidies.
Now, a report set to be approved by councillors today lists ten ways the library service could be changed.
