We will build ALL of HS2 high speed rail line, Government confirms
 

Transport Secretary Chris Grayling is today putting an end to speculation about the future of the HS2 high speed rail line by confirming that the project will go ahead as planned.
He will say that phase two of the line - running from Birmingham to Leeds and Manchester - will be in place by 2033 as planned.
The first phase of HS2, running between London and Birmingham, is due to be up and running by 2026. Construction begins next year.
