It's National Curry Week and, judging by the quality of four hot dishes taste-tested by the Derby Telegraph, this city is king of the curries, top of the tandooris.
In celebration of National Curry Week, we asked four of Derby's top restaurants to let us try their hottest dishes.
A classic dish from the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu state in south India. Cooked with spicy onions, ginger, garlic, it contains a special blend of Chettinad spices and is flavoured with coconut and curry leaves. Recommended accompaniments are boiled rice and paratha.
