'We're really sorry' - Alpro apologises to vegans for suggesting everyone should eat animal products



A soy-based food company has responded to its fuming customers after sparking controversy with remarks on social media.
Alpro was met with a barrage of angry responses from social media users on Twitter yesterday (Monday), when the Belgian company told its followers that "a healthy diet consists of two thirds of plant based food and one third of animal based food."
The Belgian company says it specialises "making sustainable and tasty plant-based foods" - but their post on the social media platform prompted comments from the company's legion of livid vegan followers.
