Waterloo’s abandoned Eurostar platforms to be reopened after 10 years
 

The abandoned platforms at Waterloo station that were once used for Eurostar trains are to be reopened.
Platforms 20 to 24 have lain unused for more than a decade, since services to the continent were moved to St Pancras in 2007.
However, the five platforms will now be tested out for three weeks – between this Saturday and August 28 – before being closed again for renovation.
They will then reopen in December 2018, when a major £800million renovation of the station is due for completion.
