Watch school pupils send their work to the edge of space



Pupils at a South Tyneside school took their work to new heights when they sent it off into space.
Youngsters at Keelmans Way School in Hebburn kickstarted their new term by embarking on a space project.
For two weeks pupils at the school – from the school’s nursery through to their post 16 students – took part in a range of space-themed activities.
This culminated in them sending a helium filled balloon to a height of over 100,000 feet
The balloon’s journey was captured on video and was able to be tracked by pupils back in the classroom.
