Watch parents' passionate rally in support of Liverpool’s closure-threatened children centres



More than 100 mums, dads and activists staged a rally in support of Liverpool’s closure-threatened children centres .
They gathered outside Picton children’s centre as council bosses attempt to come up with a way of keeping them open in the wake of Government cuts.
There is enough money in the coffers to keep the city’s 17 SureStart centres open until next year, but a long-term financial solution is still needed.
The council hopes the NHS and other organisations will help cover around half the children’s centres £4m-a-year overheads from 2017.
