Warning ahead of D-Day for Birmingham bin strike



D-Day is approaching for the Birmingham bin strike as a tenuous agreement to end the ongoing dispute is due to be discussed by the council on Friday.
Unite claims there are only 24 hours to save Birmingham’s bin services and prevent another row.
The union has urged Brummies to contact councillors before Friday, September 1, in a bid to back the deal supporting Birmingham's refuse service.
And they claim that Birmingham’s interim chief executive Stella Manzie is set to scupper the settlement thrashed out to end the strike action .
