Warehouseman who stole almost £39,000 from Royal Mail packages is jailed
 

A “greedy” warehouseman who stole almost £39,000 from Royal Mail special delivery packages at the Birmingham depot where he worked has been jailed for 18 months.
Steven Clifton, who was planning to spend some of the cash on a holiday to Disneyland, was secretly observed ripping open the packets.
Clifton, 37, of Highters Road, Warstock, had previously admitted eight charges of theft.
Birmingham Crown Court heard that the Royal Mail had a system of shipping currency, both sterling and foreign, from Birmingham to post offices in the North West.
